Studio Manager
Alexandria, Sydney · Casual to start (~10 hrs/week) · Opportunity to move into permanent part-time after 3 months
We are looking for an experienced Studio Manager who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the studio and help us grow. This is a role for someone who is highly organised, reliable, calm under pressure and naturally notices what needs to be done without waiting to be asked. You should enjoy working independently, care about beautiful spaces and good customer service, and be comfortable switching between people, systems, technology and small operational details.

What you'll be responsible for
- Overseeing the day-to-day running of the studio
- Making sure the studio is clean, organised, fully stocked and ready for clients
- Monitoring equipment, computers, storage and photo delivery systems
- Managing client enquiries across email, phone and social media, including follow-ups and sales
- Coordinating Studio Admins, including shifts, training, onboarding and recruitment when needed
- Keeping studio standards high and making sure tasks are completed properly
- Managing supplies, newsletters and simple customer communications
- Supporting partnerships, influencers and important studio visitors
- Stepping into a client-facing Studio Admin role when needed
- Solving operational issues before they need to reach the founder
We're looking for someone who is
- Experienced in managing day-to-day operations, people or a small business environment
- Extremely reliable, responsible and organised
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Calm and resourceful when something goes wrong
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused and confident with sales and follow-up
- Comfortable with technology, Instagram and learning new systems
- Visually aware with a good eye for what feels polished and considered
- Based within easy travelling distance of Alexandria
Photography experience is not required.
How the role works
We expect the role to begin at approximately 10 hours per week. Around half of those hours will be based at our Alexandria studio, with the remaining hours worked remotely where appropriate.
The role will begin on a casual basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent part-time position after a successful three-month period.
